A native of Phoenix, Arizona, John Ortega began his coaching career at South Mountain HS where he was part of a state championship. Coach Ortega is one of the founders of PHHoenix Prep and is the head of recruiting, while also serving as the Head Coach. He has been coaching AAU teams for the last 24 years and has helped 175 players receive college scholarships.
